What are the system requirements?

Overview

If you're experiencing performance or functionality issues with Cirrus Insight for Outlook, you should review your system components to ensure they meet the requirements outlined below.

System Requirements

Outlook

• "Click-to-Run" version.
• "Microsoft Store" version is not supported. See Installing Outlook Click-to-Run below to update if necessary.
• Find your version using this Microsoft guide.

Office 

• 2010 version or newer.
• Find your version using this Microsoft guide.

Windows

• Windows 7 or newer (32-bit or 64-bit).
• Find your version using this Microsoft guide.

Internet Browser

• Internet Explorer 11 or newer (all Outlook Add-ins have to use IE).
• Find your version using this Microsoft guide.

.NET Framework

• 4.5 or newer. 
• Find your version using this Microsoft guide.

Hardware Minimums

• Processor: 2 GHz
• Memory: 2 GB RAM
• Hard drive: 4 GB available space
• Display: 1024 × 768 resolution

Installing Outlook Click-to-Run

If you haven't already, use the steps in this Microsoft guide to determine your Outlook version.

If your Outlook version includes "Microsoft Store" at the end, you'll need to install the "Click-to-Run" version. Your existing version will be overwritten, so there's no need to uninstall first. Just follow these steps:

1. Navigate to www.office.com 

2. Sign in with your Microsoft account.

3. Click the Install Office button in the top right to expose a dropdown menu.

4. Select Office 365 Apps if you're using a 32-bit version of Windows (find your version using this Microsoft guide).

5. If you're using a 64-bit version of Windows, select Other Install Options.

6. Install Outlook.

7. Close and re-open Outlook if necessary.

If any issues with Cirrus Insight persist after taking the above steps, uninstall and reinstall the add-in using this guide.
