Email sync is a cloud service. What does that mean? Cirrus Insight syncs your emails from the Google  server to Salesforce, so it doesn’t matter what browser, client, or device you’re using. The servers talk directly. If you use Gmail or Exchange as your email server, Cirrus Insight can automatically sync your emails to Salesforce.
